And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself-well...how did I get here?
D G
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground.
And you may ask yourself how do I work this?
And you may ask yourself where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself this is not my beautiful house
And you may tell yourself this is not my beautiful wife
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground.

Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...
And you may ask yourself what is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself where does this A road go?
And you may ask yourself am I right? ...am I wrong?
And you may say to yourself, my god - what have I done?
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones, there is water underground.
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again, after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground.
Same as it ever was... same as it ever was....

Bonfire Night!
Never seen anything quite like it. The stuff of my literary childhood imagination. The folk of the far away tree in my own backyard.
I know that I'm lucky to see the world beyond the boundaries of my home country. Rather amazing, if I may say.

Strange Days part II
At a crossroads between want to do and ought to do. Too little of the former and too much of the latter. Neglect one to the detriment of the other.
Floating is equal parts submission and relaxation. Not drowning. Just learning how to breathe on the water.

A funny sort of day
that started with a dream about a bath. Then a bath that felt a lot like a dream.
Guess my brain decided it needed a break, so today it was all about hands and feet.
Wonder what tomorrow will be like.

Finding the sweet spot
Finally, after days of searching for the literary angle for my paper I found it. Outlined it up and down. Today it came to me.
Pleasures of the Imagination: The Art and Science of Longhorn Cattle in the English Landscape Garden.
Deliciously decadent. A paper I want to write. Full of thoughts, ideas and desires. Like this image of the Venus Vale at Rousham. When viewed from the top, a long greensward ends in an indistinct v-shaped mound. The view from the front is much more obvious. Or is it just me and my entirely warped view of the world....
